Snowmaking Team Lead

Are you ready to lead a dedicated team in delivering the ultimate snow experience for guests? As the **Snowmaking Team Lead**, you’ll play a crucial role in creating and maintaining exceptional snow coverage across our mountain. You’ll be hands-on, working with the Snowmaking team, providing direction, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. If you’re passionate about winter sports and have a knack for leadership and problem-solving, this role is for you
**How You’ll Contribute to the Team**:
- **Liaise** with Snowmakers and Groomer Operators to ensure consistent snow coverage across the mountain.
- **Lead** the Snowmaking team, overseeing daily tasks and providing hands-on support.
- **Support** the team by prioritizing tasks, coaching, and maintaining a safe working environment.
- **Play** a key role in delivering the best possible snow conditions and terrain for our guests.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Direct the Snowmaking team in daily operations and tasks.
- Ensure all tasks are performed safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with management to guide the team, reporting any critical issues.
- Work as a Snowmaker, producing quality snow throughout different terrain.
- Monitor snow depth and relocate snow guns as needed.
- Support snowmaking efforts for special events.
- Operate electrical, air, and water equipment, along with motorized machinery.
- Perform minor maintenance on snowmaking equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Provide management with data on water flow, temperatures, and other key metrics.
- Implement safe communication strategies for hill closures, signage, and lift lines.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations and protocols.
**Qualifications**:
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in snowmaking operations, including compressors, pumps and electrical systems.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Ability to multitask, organize, and manage time in a fast-paced setting.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible with working weekends, shifts, holidays, and overtime as needed.
