Hotel Sales Manager

**_Responsibilities (Including but not limited to,)_**
- Booking group & transient business
- Active in developing new business and maintaining existing relationships
- Aid & adhere to action plans that addresses priorities
- Upon closing, coordinate and follow up with GM & other operational personnel
- Determine and recommend prospective clients & follow through on potential business
- Quote and negotiate prices within established parameters and process contracts for use by the GM & other operational personnel to ensure delivery of hotel's promised services
- Coordinate and participate in sites, fams and industry / trade functions & shows
- Extremely organized
- Schedule effective business trips and appointments within assigned market
- Collect market and competitive intelligence to assess and implement strategy and change
- Independently responsible for achievement of all objectives outlined in the action plans
- Provide on-going sales insight on the development of segment action plans
- Participate in effective yield management for group bookings produced and contracted with GM
- Provide updates of personal performance via set-parameters & report regularly as agreed
- Other duties being assigned by GM

**_Qualifications: _**
- Minimum 3 years related experience within the hotel industry
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Exceptional communication & time management skills
- Ability to cold call & possess a ‘hunter’ mentality
- Flexible schedule which may include weekends & evenings
- Ability to travel overnight
- Professional demeanor
