The Product Owner is responsible for the day-to-day management of one or more product verticals within taq. The Product Owner will work in an agile environment and follow scrum methodology to ensure continuous delivery for customers. The role of the Product Owner is to ensure alignment of a shared product vision, create user stories, maintain a groomed backlog, and maximize the value of the Product and the work of the team. They are empowered and responsible for the success of the Product.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the Product and the work done by the Scrum Team. Main responsibilities are:

- Envisioning the Product
- Creating alignment of a shared vision among the team
- Creating user stories and co-creating user acceptance criteria
- Grooming and prioritizing the backlog to achieve stakeholder goals
- Optimizing the value of the Product and the work of the team
- Collaborating with stakeholders
- Contributions to the Product roadmap, design, and vision
- Planning releases
- Participating in team meetings
- Ad-hoc duties as may be assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**SKILLS **required
- Efficient: Able to generate significant output with mínimal waste and direct supervision.
- Organized: Plans, organizes, schedules and budgets in an efficient manner. Focuses on key priorities. Attention to detail is their middle name.
- Excellent Communicator: Speaks and writes clearly and articulately without being overly verbose or talkative. Maintains this standard in all forms of communication.
- Team Player: Reaches out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish an overall collaborative working relationship.
- Intelligent: Learns quickly. Demonstrates an ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information.
- Listener: Lets others speak and seeks to understand their viewpoints.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset
- At least one year of experience in Product Management and/or Product Development.
- Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and a high degree of proficiency in prototyping and iterative development. An understanding of Agile principles.

**EDUCATION**
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
- Certified Scrum Product Owner training is an asset
