The Business Development Manager organizes, plans, and executes sales initiatives for our retail accounts with the aim of maximizing sales and profitability to meet annual budget targets.

**What’s involved in this role**
- Prepare business plans by customer/category to achieve sales and marketing objectives in line with the strategic direction of both Agropur Canada and the customer.
- Coordinate marketing programs and negotiate business agreements to achieve objectives.
- Prepare and present monthly business and investment reports, identifying variances from forecasts and improvements required for mutual benefit.
- Participate in setting sales and investment targets by product category (budgets, sales, costs).
- Identify strategic opportunities to leverage competitive advantage by adding value to products and services (including distribution, billing, price consolidation, EDI, etc.).
- Continuously perform post-analysis on activities and formulate recommendations.
- Work within established budgets and capitalize on opportunities to add value through cost effectiveness and operational efficiencies.
- Manage day-to-day business development and resolve any issues.
- Participate in the development of sales and investment objectives by product category (budgets, volumes, costs) for each customer.
- Annual and monthly review of sales forecast for customers under his/her responsibility.

**'‹ **What you need to join our team**
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration or relevant discipline;
- Minimum of (3) three to (5) five year’s experience in business development (preferably in the retail packaged goods industry).
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
- Solid understanding of AC Nielsen reports, business and marketing principles, competitive trends and P&L management is required.
