Director, Corporate Partnerships

The mission of Canada’s Children’s Hospital Foundations (CCHF) is to do** **_what is right for children, so they live their healthiest, most fulfilling lives_**. Established in 2017, CCHF is a non-profit organization that raises funds for a national network of children’s hospital foundations. As the largest single, non-government funder of child health in Canada, CCHF continues to receive generous support through donors within Children’s Miracle Network® as well as contributions from additional companies and partners.
**POSITION OVERVIEW**
Reporting to the Vice President, Partnerships, the **Director, Corporate Partnerships (13-month contract)** is an important member of the CCHF team, playing a critical role in ensuring the organization achieves its plans for growth, in alignment with its mission, vision and values. The Director leads the development of fundraising strategies for CCHF corporate partners. In collaboration with Member Foundations, the Director develops activation and stewardship plans designed to inspire and maximize fundraising.
This role is a 13-month contract position and will entail a combination of office and work from home environments, with employees transitioning to working 2-3 days per week at our Toronto office. Occasional travel to fundraising activities and events, meetings, conferences, and training opportunities within Canada and USA will be required. Evening & weekend work may be required.
**As a CCHF Employee, you will**:
- Act as a positive contributor to the CCHF vision, mission, manifesto, values, and culture
- Work collaboratively with CCHF staff, Member Foundations, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH), partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gain buy-in in an environment of competing priorities
- Collect evidence and data to support significant program decisions
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and growth mindset to contribute to strategic partnerships which deliver revenue growth
- Act as a skilled problem solver that thrives in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and quickly respond to the needs of partners and/or stakeholders in well-thought out and workable solutions
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**1. Fundraising Revenue Generation & Budget Management**
- Meet or exceed annual fundraising budgets
- Develop budgets and maintain forecasts to achieve revenue targets
- Analyze existing fundraising trends to identify opportunities for incremental revenue
- Introduce incremental fundraising to deliver consistent growth
- Develop course corrections to mitigate risks and address revenue shortfalls
- Analyze and report results of fundraising
- Contribute to annual budget planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Develop programs and partner specific communication, and network wide events
- Collect partner payment data to ensure timely and accurate disbursements to Member Foundations
**2. Partnership Strategy, Annual Planning & Execution**
- Develop annual partnership strategy to achieve partner business objectives
- Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to diversify revenue and achieve fundraising growth
- Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to cultivate deeper relationship with corporate partners
- In collaboration with Marketing team, develop a communications strategy that leverages partner assets to communicate the partner impact story
- Deliver timely communication, analysis, and execution of partners’ strategy, marketing, communication, activations, employee engagement and stewardship to Member Foundations
**3. Partnership Growth & Management**
- Identify and cultivate relationships with corporate partners and member foundations to gain respect, collaboration and trust, as well as enhance engagement in CCHF’s cause
- Lead annual cross-functional partnership meetings to understand partners’ evolving business priorities, gain alignment and co-create fundraising and marketing communication strategies to achieve revenue growth
- Evolve partner relationships through collaboration across their departments including marketing, in-store marketing, pr, human resources, store operations and community investment
- Develop activation plans for partner events, corporate meetings, conferences and events in collaboration with partner marketing, in-store marketing, and human resources teams to maximize the exposure and engagement of all partner employees
- Facilitate top-to-top relationship and meeting opportunities between CCHF senior leadership and partner leaders
**4. Other projects and duties as assigned.**
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Completion of bachelor’s degree
- CFRE designation is an asset
- 8-10 years of experience in cause marketing, sponsorship, corporate social responsibility, sales, event management, marketing and fundraising
- Experience working with large, predominantly retail based corporate partners with capacity to give $1M+ annually
