Reporting to the AVP, Business Enablement Domain the Director, Business & Systems Analysis Chapter will lead a large group of Business & Systems Analysts who support Canadian Delivery. This group of talented individuals are purveyors of insight and expertise that sit at the core of every squad in Sun Life Canada’s Digital Enterprise model delivering digital solutions and enabling transformation.

They will collaborate with the Transformation and Enablement Leadership team, Cross-Domain Leadership and Business Unit leaders to establish and evolve the standards for the chapter, influence the strategic direction, deliver talent and solutions, and lead teams of chapter members who work within autonomous squads. As a servant leader, they will focus on the attraction, retention, growth, and development of our practitioners while ensuring the alignment of the practice to our constantly evolving delivery needs.

**What will you do?**
- Lead and support sub-chapter managers and their teams across multiple geographies (hire, onboard, coach, performance management, career and development plan etc. )
- Advocate for our 180+ practitioners to include full time employees, contractors, and offshore team members.
- Resource planning and skills/competency development for the sub-chapters you oversee based on business unit needs and the direction set by the Domain leader.
- Resource and budget management for the Chapter.
- Anticipate future needs for critical skills / competencies and develop workforce plans to meet them.
- Develop and execute a talent strategy that enables career progression, mobility, and professional development for practitioners in the Business & Systems Analysis Chapter.
- Assess and review the overall practice of the sub-chapters you manage and drive best practice & continuous improvement as applicable.
- Enable teams to be successful by providing the necessary tools, coaching, change management and other support services.
- Manage the review of practitioners’ progression, performance, and compensation process.
- Keep informed on industry & market trends, business strategy and continuously develop your own expertise and knowledge.
- Lead and facilitate a community of practice for the chapter.
- Actively participate in domestic and global communities of practice to ensure consistency and alignment of practices across Canadian Delivery and Sun Life holistically.

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading a high performing and highly engaged, matrixed team across organizational and geographic boundaries
- A Demonstrated passion for leading, motivating and coaching with a warm, direct and growth-mindset leadership approach
- Strong and effective relationship building with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries and collaborate effectively with senior executives.
- Interpersonal skills and willingness to work in collaboration with cross-domain teams
- Ability to manage budgets, resource planning and talent allocation across a large organization
- Communication skills (written and verbal) - ability to express ideas, thoughts, and information to be tailored to the audience and to actively participate and influence conversations with senior executives.
- Results-oriented with a proven record of delivering to deadlines, ability to multi-task and prioritize a wide range of tasks with an understanding of the big picture and interdependencies.
- Commitment and interest to improve/standardize processes and tools.
- Business & Systems Analysis experience. minimum 3 years of experience as a business consultant conducting analysis and developing specific business management / system practices, processes, procedures, and tools.
- As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required **for Quebec only** for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.
