**About the role**

We are looking for a Director, IT Business Office to join our team

Reporting to the Vice President, IT Business Office, the Director plays a critical role in strengthening the governance process for funding and prioritization of IT investment portfolio budgets. This position is focused on supporting the strategic goals of the organization by effectively managing and optimizing various aspects of IT operations.

**What you'll do here**:

- Fulfill an advisory role with all business unit stakeholders in terms of strategy, governance and demand management for the IT and Intact Lab departments.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals.
- Responsible to ensure benefits of our IT initiatives are identified and delivered.
- Establish vendor management practices to ensure that major deals continue to capture optimal benefit, and that relationships and engagements optimally serve the organization and provide good value for money.
- Develop an IT showback model to illustrate total cost of ownership (TCO) for each major business units.
- Ensure proactive and effective communication at all levels of the organization.
- Manage relationships with peers, top management and key project leads (if applicable).
- Be a collaborative leader who successfully engages their team to carry out activities and design to support the IT mission, leveraging industry best practices.
- Take an active part in the various ongoing IT projects and support acquisition projects.
- Ensure effective management of project management processes and methodology.
- Hire outstanding talent that can work in high-performing teams.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Post secondary education in Finance or IT.
- CPA designation is an asset.
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing and successfully leading large teams.
- Experience in management, IT governance and finance.
- Experience managing several projects and initiatives at the same time.
- Strong knowledge handling multiple complex IT environments.
- Experience managing large budgets (+-$500M).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial transactions and strategies in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence.
- Ability to foster change and transformation.
- Coaching skills and managerial courage.
- High level of personal integrity and ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
- Customer oriented.
