**MANAGER DONOR RELATIONS **AND** STEWARDSHIP**

**Full-Time**

70 Hours Bi-weekly | Non-Union | Days Shift

The Baycrest Foundation raises funds to support Baycrest’s vision. The Baycrest Foundation does this through developing and nurturing relationships with community leaders, donors and prospects in Toronto, Canada and internationally, and by generating awareness and recognition for Baycrest and its work.

Reporting to the Director of Development, this role oversees and leads Major Gift stewardship initiatives and programs at Baycrest Foundation. The Manager oversees all stewardship reporting and donor recognition— a key component in fulfilling the Foundation’s obligations to major gift donors.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Working with the Director of Development, leads the Foundation program of donor recognition, stewardship, and donor relationship engagement. This includes:

- Developing and implementing a Donor Relations strategic plan
- Creating, tracking and managing annual program budget
- Tracking and managing program plan execution and deliverables
- Managerial oversight of the Donor Relations Specialist works closely with colleagues across Baycrest Foundation and Centre, including Executive Teams of all Baycrest entities, collaboratively working to advance donor funded projects
- Sets deliverables and aligns Donor Relations portfolio priorities, evaluating KPIs and adapting project plans accordingly. Manages the team to ensure portfolio goals are met/exceeded.
- Initiates large meetings and events that advance donor involvement, cultivation and stewardship for all major gifts and donors at other levels
- Oversees physical donor recognition strategy for all of Baycrest Campus, leading updates and looking for new and innovative recognition opportunities that meet developed recognition guidelines
- Sets content, strategy, and provides editorial guidance to the team and other Foundation staff on donor communication materials, including stewardship reports, proposals, letters, one-pagers, etc.
- Serves as a stewardship advisor to fundraising team members, providing strategic guidance and project support in relation to stewardship opportunities
- Initiates and develops respectful and collaborative working relationships with peers and associates in other departments across Baycrest to foster a productive, supportive work environment

- Ensuring that details of stewardship plans are compiled and communicated to all involved parties, and that the plan is documented, implemented and included in Raiser’s Edge

**Qualifications include but are not limited to**:

- Minimum of four (4) years related Major Gifts development services experience
- Experience in working with ethno-cultural donor groups is an asset
- Knowledge and experience in working with Jewish donors/community is an asset
- Previous management experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Development software (i.e. Raiser’s Edge), online databases and other sources to locate financial and philanthropic information
- High level of technical literacy in the Microsoft suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, MS Project)
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem solver, works to proactively develop options in anticipation of the Donor’s needs
- Good decision-making skills, tactful, good listener, willingness to search out answers, ability to recognize when others need to be involved in activities or decisions
- Superior and confident verbal, written, listening and presentation communication skills with the ability to communicate with ease and comfort in highly professional corporate and foundation environments
