**Job Summary**
The Manager, Donor Stewardship and Events at Toronto Humane Society plays a pivotal role within the Development Department, overseeing three integral components crucial to the organization's success. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing and Development, this multifaceted role involves strategically cultivating enduring relationships with donors, planning, and executing significant fundraising events, and overseeing membership programs. The Manager leads the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies for donor stewardship, tailoring approaches for diverse donor segments to foster lasting relationships and maximize engagement and support. This role also coordinates fundraising events, ensuring their success and alignment with the organization's mission. Additionally, overseeing membership programs, ensuring members receive value, engagement, and recognition for their support, is a key responsibility.
**Main Duties/Responsibilities**
Donor Stewardship:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship strategy tailored to diverse donor segments, fostering enduring relationships and maximizing their engagement and support.
- Oversee personalized donor acknowledgment strategies, ensuring timely, meaningful, and individualized communication with donors, providing updates on the impact of their contributions and the organization's milestones.
- Coordinate and manage donor appreciation events, celebrating and honoring donors, reinforcing positive relationships, and encouraging ongoing support.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify and execute opportunities for donor recognition aligned with organizational objectives.
- Maintain and manage donor records in the organization's database systems, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and confidentiality.
- Plan and execute donor cultivation events, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering engaging experiences for donors.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to create materials supporting donor stewardship efforts, maintaining consistency in messaging and branding.
Events:
- Strategically plan and execute a range of signature events and programs to meet or surpass annual goals.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of signature events, encompassing scheduling, budget management, post-event analysis, vendor contract negotiations, and successful event execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive annual and individual budgets for signature events, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Manage and oversee signature events such as Paws in the Park, Pet Pics, Gala's, Golf Tournaments, etc., ensuring their effective execution and alignment with the organization's mission.
- Lead Team Experience Day, collaborating closely with Corporate Fundraising to execute successful lead-generating opportunities and enhance overall event experiences.
- Develop and implement participant surveys, compile comprehensive wrap-up reports, evaluations, and final financial reports to assess event success and areas for enhancement.
