**Who we need**

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate **Donor Relations and Stewardship Officer** to join our fundraising team at CDI. As the Donor Relations and Stewardship Officer, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with our valued donors, ensuring their continued engagement and support. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that donors feel valued, appreciated, and connected to our organization's mission.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate closely with the team to strategize and execute donor engagement plans to achieve our fundraising goals.
- Support Senior Manager, Development and Communications with the implementation of donor cultivation strategies to engage current and prospective donors.
- Maintain relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors to foster long-term partnerships.
- Maintain frequent, warm communication with current donors while identifying and securing opportunities for renewed funding at current or higher levels.
- Provide prompt, personalized acknowledgment and recognition to donors.
- Ensure that donors receive appropriate and timely feedback on the impact of their contributions.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather data and stories that demonstrate the impact of donors' support. Prepare and distribute engaging impact reports to donors, highlighting the results of their philanthropic efforts.
- Create compelling communications, including thank-you letters, impact reports, and project updates.
- Craft persuasive messages that resonate with donors and inspire continued support.
- Plan and coordinate donor engagement events, including appreciation gatherings, fundraising galas, and donor recognition activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor information in the organization's donor database.
- Track interactions and communication with donors to ensure effective relationship and stewardship management.
- Process donations, issue and provide receipts to donors.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop and implement fundraising campaigns.
- Provide input on donor targeting, communication strategies, and stewardship activities.
- Research potential major donors and funding opportunities.
- Gather donor feedback to understand their motivations and interests, adapting the organization's communication and engagement accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant fundraising regulations and reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of donor contributions and provide regular reports to the management team.
- Order supplies with management approval for equipment in all centre areas and ensure the safe operation and timely repairs of equipment, furnishings, etc.
- Ensure a healthy and safe workplace for staff and clients by the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Degree in Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Management-Leadership Certificate.
- Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Education.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in an early learning/childcare role with all age groups.
- Four (4) years of a leadership role in an Early Childhood setting.
- Sound knowledge in early child development and pedagogy.
- In-depth knowledge of CCEYA (2014), AQI, ELECT, HDLH Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years.
- Experience with the Licensing Process and AQI program assessment.
- Demonstrated strong, practical financial management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, probe, analyze, and problem-solve issues.
- Knowledge/use of the HiMama Child Care App and Dayforce would be an asset.
- Clear Criminal Reference Check/updated Immunization and Health Check/Standard First Aid Certificate.
- Demonstrated ability to provide and sustain a diverse learning environment that supports the highest program quality, equity, and inclusion for children, staff, and families.
