**Information Services Specialist**

**1.0** **NATURE OF WORK**

The Information Services Specialist role is to ensure the efficient operations of all software platforms are in alignment with the business objectives of Telematic Controls Inc. This individual will plan, coordinate, budget and design software-related activities for Telematic. The Information Services Specialist will also liaise with external IT contractors to ensure the efficient operations of all network infrastructures are in alignment with the business objectives of Telematic Controls Inc.

The Information Services Specialist will participate with other decision makers throughout Telematic to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support software and network-related solutions related to information systems. This person will also define and implement policies, procedures, and best practices related to software development. The Information Services Specialist will also be responsible for hiring, training and managing all internal software development resources and externally contracted resources.

**1.1** **Skills and Experience**
- Senior level understanding of.NET development (with a focus on Web technologies)
- Strong Project Management principles with 3+ years’ experience.
- Experience with the software design, coding, testing, and maintenance
- Experience with Visual Studio 2019+.
- Strong database design and maintenance experience, including SQL Server.
- Ability to make sound and logical judgments.
- Demonstrated leadership and personnel/project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to conduct research into products as required.
- Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, and keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- A positive, friendly manner and customer service approach
- Ability to manage multiple projects and team members to achieve project completion.

- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or the like from a recognized University or College.
- Requires 6+ years industry experience in software design and development within the IT industry.

**1.3 Must Have Skills**
- Relevant degree or diploma
- C#,.NET Web Technologies (MVC, Web API)
- SQL Server (Design, Querying, Scripting)
- Power BI or other Business Intelligence Experience

**1.4 Nice to Have Skills**
- C#.NET Desktop Development (MAUI, WPF)
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM Development
- Working Knowledge of RESTful web services
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining operations on Windows Server and IIS
- Experience building integrations between different datasets.

**2.0** **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

**2.1** **Information Services Specialist**
- Oversee the design, development, implementation, support, and enhancements of the CRM platform.
- Oversee the design, development, implementation, support, and enhancements of the SharePoint platform.
- Work closely with 3rd party vendors and internal stakeholders to define product direction and maximize value to customers.
- Translate business requirements into functional requirements, and see the project through the development, testing, and implementation, and support phases.
- Ensure programming best practices are implemented to ensure efficiency, productivity, and self-sufficiency in all parts of the software development lifecycle.
- Research and develop a technology vision and roadmap for information services.
- Provide and promote high standards of professionalism, integrity and leadership throughout the life of projects, both within and outside the organization, appropriately representing Telematic's business philosophies, protocols and standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Create and maintain project schedules, which define activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, schedule and resources.
- Forecast, track and manage project budgets.
- Negotiate, define, communicate and manage the scope of the projects
- Instill and monitor high quality standards on all deliverables.
- Define, negotiate, communicate, implement and monitor quality standards on all project deliverables.
- Manage project risks/issues.
- Plan and manage internal and external project communications, ensuring effective exchange of project information and deliverables.
