Senior IT Support Specialist

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role in IT? Active Information Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Support Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleThis full-time position involves providing top-notch technical support to our clients, resolving complex issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing projects, analyzing causes of technical problems, and providing escalation services for all workstations and network connectivity.
You will also be required to perform remote and occasional on-site assistance, install and configure computer hardware, components, networking software, and operating system software, as well as assist in planning, documenting, implementing, and supporting our clients' computing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Perform technical interventions, analyze causes, and provide escalation services for all workstations and network connectivity
- Provide remote and occasional on-site assistance
- Install and configure computer hardware, components, networking software, and operating system software
- Assist in planning, documenting, implementing, and supporting our clients' computing infrastructure
- Maintain and configure network infrastructure, monitor performance, and integrity of complex computer systems
- Implement and support network security and access controls, including firewalls and security policy
- Responsible for system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery
- Monitor daily performance of computer systems, verifying the integrity and availability of all systems
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Advanced knowledge and experience with network infrastructure and tools: LAN, WAN, VPN, VOIP, Routers, Wireless Access Points, Switches, and Cabling
- Strong understanding of Windows Operating Systems, O365, MS Office Productivity Software (cloud and on-premise)
- Equipment installation and maintenance experience with proven troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in advanced hardware management, including device manager, driver troubleshooting, and system optimization
- Results-oriented with the capacity to successfully manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines
- Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships through reliable completion of responsibilities
We offer a competitive salary of $28.00-$34.00 per hour, paid weekly, as well as:

The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean abstract, be able to work full-time, and be authorized to work in Canada.
