Mainland West is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team
**Position**: Accounts Payable Administrator
**Location**: Surrey, B.C.
**Type**: Full-time
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Manage accounts payable files and records
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors
- Assist with month-end closing tasks
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues
- Handling customer calls
- Outbound collection calls
- Ability to problem solve and respond to customer inquiries
- Ability to calculate account adjustments
- Account reconciliations
- Process and balance customer payments
- Identify problem accounts and escalate collection action
**Qualifications**:
- 1-2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
