Kadant Carmanah Design, a division of Kadant Canada Corp., is a subsidiary of Kadant Inc. (NYSE:KAI). Kadant Carmanah Design is recognized as a global leader of innovation in the design and manufacture of equipment in the Engineered Wood products industry and is the largest supplier of Stranders used in the production of Oriented Strand Board (OSB) and other wood-based composites.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform 3-way match and enter invoices in DocStar
- Post invoices in Epicor after getting appropriate approvals
- Code invoices and employee expense reports to correct General Ledger Accounts or Jobs
- Resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with purchasing and receiving departments
- Reconcile statements and liaison with vendors
- Prepare and perform weekly cheque runs, EFT, and Wire Payments
- Assist with month-end duties - AP reconciliations, accrual entries, investigating variances
- AP variance analysis and fluctuation commentary
- Assist with audit queries and follow SOX controls
- Other duties as assigned

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & COMPETENCIES**:

- Be very organized and detail oriented
- Experience working in a public company internal control environment is an asset
- Experience working with ERP systems. (Experience using Epicor considered an asset)
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and a take initiative to solve problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- Must own and exhibit a professional telephone manner and possess exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent relationship building and customer service skills

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Minimum of 3 years recent Accounts Payable experience
- Entry to mid level accounting knowledge considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
