This job offers the opportunity to work from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement. This arrangement will allow you to work some days at a TCHC work location and the rest of the time from home. The amount of time required to work at a TCHC work location is flexible, while considering operational and service delivery requirements.

At Toronto Community Housing we pride ourselves on fostering an environment of collaboration and respect. In the Program Coordinator role, you will build strong internal and external relationships and play an integral part in transforming Toronto Community Housing for the future

As a Program Coordinator you will oversee the delivery of capital engagement programs (repairs and revitalization work) in TCHC communities across the city. You will oversee a team of local Senior Program Leaders and work with residents, building staff, and community partners to promote the program to achieve sustainable behavior change and monitor results. It involves supporting the development of educational and outreach materials, facilitating workshops and building partnerships to ensure effective delivery of the program. This particular position will be focused on the east side of Toronto.

**What you’ll do**
- Work with Managers and Senior Supervisors, Vendors and Community Partners to develop tenant engagement strategies and implement TCHC’s capital improvement projects, including the delivery of tenant engagement initiatives, surveys and other components of community engagement, as they relate to TCHC’s Capital Plan
- Attend meetings; liaise and coordinate with TCHC Facilities Management and Operations staff, to support tenants during ongoing construction and minimize disruptions
- Supervise a team of Senior Program Leaders; provide work direction and weekly schedule to staff; oversee the entry and submission of staff timesheets in Workforce Connect
- Performance manage a team of non-unionized staff; lead and motivate a strong and engaged team
- Responsible for surveying and information collection in various communities; oversee the surveying process and provide direction to staff on the collection and compilation of data
- Organize and facilitate tenant meetings, information sessions and workshops; oversee meeting logistics including promotion, preparation and setup, as well as minute-taking
- Develop and distribute written tenant communications and resource materials - notices, construction updates, information sheets, surveys
- Complete and consistently update tracking of all projects and engagement initiatives (i.e. bi-weekly, monthly etc.); c other administrative duties as needed
- Plan, promote and organize community events

**What you’ll need**
- A related post-secondary degree/diploma or working towards completion of degree/diploma, or other related discipline or equivalent experience
Familiarity with or background in construction, project management, and or building systems/sciences is an asset
- Knowledge of Toronto Community Housing communities and/or experience working in a culturally diverse environment
- Experience developing and implementing community education and engagement programs and events
- Ability to build partnerships with diverse community organizations and stakeholders
- Experience organizing and facilitating workshops and training programs
- Proven ability to conduct effective, innovative outreach that meets the needs of individual communities
- Experience supervising and managing staff and volunteers
- Strong organizational and administrative skills (including keeping and reconciling inventory, logistics)
