**Program Coordinator (Simulation Program, Learning Institute)**:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager Interprofessional Education, Simulation and Resuscitation Education Programs, Learning Institute

As the Program Coordinator, you will play a collaborative role in planning, developing, organizing and coordinating the administration and operation of educational activities within the Simulation Program, Learning Institute (LI). You will contribute to the achievement of the Simulation Program vision and strategic plan, ensuring that all programs are of excellent quality by functioning as a resource in planning, implementing and evaluating a range of educational offerings. Primary responsibilities will include facilitating the development of curricula, conferences, symposia and workshops and other educational activities that promote interprofessional learning and collaboration; monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of educational programs to ensure program goals are achieved; collaborating with staff from the LI, the broader SickKids education community and externally.

You will be an important resource for the Simulation and Resuscitation Education Programs and will also be responsible for assisting in maintaining professional relationships within SickKids and with external affiliates when creating education and supporting utilization of the SimKids Simulation Centre. You will work collaboratively with LI Programs to advance program planning and delivery.

You will work both independently and in collaboration with members of the Simulation Team in the day-to-day operations.

**Here’s What You Will Get to Do**:

- Education Program Planning and Coordination:_
- Assist in the development, planning, management and implementation of educational initiatives/activities, events, symposiums and ongoing programs.
- Support the development of curricular materials and information packages as appropriate; this will include execution and summary of needs assessments and/or evaluations, collection and packaging of curricular materials, creation of evaluation forms (RedCap), distribution and collection of these forms, timely collation of evaluation results, and distribution of evaluation feedback to speakers.
- Prepare and maintain work plans for each educational initiative, including managing logistics (e.g. arranging room bookings, teleconference/videoconference, AV, creating and managing registration sites), production and distribution of course materials & schedules and lead scientific planning committee meetings
- Design and prepare program branding and marketing materials. Utilize technology, including LI websites and social media, for effective communication and marketing of programs. Lead development of the SimKids newsletter
- Participate as an active member on relevant education committees.
- Act as first point of contact and manage relationships with groups and programs external to SickKids who wish to rent the SimKids Simulation Centre (includes understanding needs, finalizing rental contracts, ssupport an excellent customer experience).
- Support the LI appointment process
- Cross-coverage with Admin Coordinator
- Manage special projects for the team or other duties as required

**_Managing Finances:_**
- Manage financial performance including preparing and managing budgets for education program activities. Facilitate and manage revenue generated from external events and other revenue streams.
- Provide quotes for Sim Centre rentals and educational requests. Issue invoices upon execution of service.
- Assist with the identification of revenue generation opportunities within the education portfolio.

**Essential Requirements**
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or equivalent
- Relevant experience working within healthcare and education, in the development and coordination of educational programs and projects
