**Salary**: $50,000-$60,000 per year
**Hours**: 40hrs per week**,
**Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

**About Refugee Sponsorship**:
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
1. Sponsorship Applications [30%]
- Maintain lines of communication with with IRCC, Visa Offices, SAH Association, and RSTP
- Attend regular meetings and webinars with IRCC, Visa offices, SAH Association, UNHCR, RSTP and others and keep the team informed of pertinent changes

1. Supporting Settlement [30%]
- Ensure private sponsors fulfill their responsibilities post-arrival through regular check-in meetings
- Ensure newly landed refugees are connected to appropriate supports and are proceeding along their settlement journey
- Connect refugees to services and opportunities via community and partners
- Coordinate airport welcomes, and conduct periodic check-ins with newly resettled refugees to ensure their settlement journeys are on track

1. Building Partnerships [10%]
- Coordinate with settlement agencies and others to ensure newly resettled refugees are connected to supports
- Support the Research and Programs Director in planning for and onboarding Constituent Groups to support IslamicFamily’s sponsorship work

1. Strengthening Community Capacity [20%]
- Conduct community education sessions on IslamicFamily’s refugee sponsorship work, process, and eligibility

1. Process Improvement [10%]

Required Qualifications
**1. Relevant Experience**: Experience in settlement services or social services is considered an asset.
**2. Language Proficiency**: Fluency in one or more of the following languages is preferred: Afghan languages, Arabic, or Somali.
**3. Organizational Skills**: Must be self-driven, exceptionally organized, and a meticulous record keeper.
**5. Learning and Development**: Openness to ongoing learning and pursuing further qualifications is essential.
**6. Digital Proficiency**: Ability to adapt to and effectively use digital tools; familiarity with Slack, Google Suite, and similar platforms is essential.
**7. Collaboration and Reporting**: Capable of working independently, collaborating with team members, and reporting on activities as needed.
**8. Commitment to Learning**: Dedication to continuously learning new skills and adapting to changes in requirements and program updates
**9. Legal Requirements**: Must have the legal right to work in Canada
