The Promotions Specialist is responsible for assisting and working with the Environmental Services (ES) Strategic Pursuits team to handle the coordination of external and internal communications including, corporate events, sponsorships, and presentations. The Promotions Specialist is a key link in implementing marketing strategies across ES, by providing materials, technology support, and marketing project coordination, etc. on deadline.

**Your Key Responsibilities**

Conference Coordination
- Work with ES, Director of Strategic Pursuits to coordinate marketing support.
- Serves as the key contact for tradeshow/event-related inquiries for ES.
- Work to develop a standardize approach to conferences (e.g., booth layout/location, hosted client events at conferences) to maximize value by sharing best practices and ROI.
- Responsible for the program across ES for all conferences to ensure that Stantec is properly represented at conferences that we attend.
- Identify and document strategic goals, tactics and expected outcomes for premier events.

+ Work with participating practitioners to identify which clients will be participating in each event and create a contact plan. From pre-show contact, during event meetings, dinners or other interactions, and a formal follow up contact plan after the event.
- Maintain promotional item and apparel inventory Coordinate shipping of materials to conferences or offices.
- Provide backend logistics on securing highly visible sponsorship opportunities within target tradeshows and conferences.
- Provide meaningful, timely reporting on the value Stantec/ES gets from our participation at events and make recommendations for continual improvement.

Sponsorships
- Serves as the key contact for sponsorship-related inquiries for ES.
- Provides guidance on process and available sponsorship support services.
- Assists in the development of an annual strategic sponsorship plan and M&BD activities and oversee implementation of the plan.
- Tracks, analyses, and reports on all sponsorship activity, including deliverables and budgets, as required.

Other Responsibilities
- Be an advocate for ongoing improvements to our Conference planning tools and procedures, seek always to find ways to make them easier and more efficient for our staff to utilize.

+ Work to improve approval logic in business plans and SMKC conference app.
- Mentor and be a resource for other promotion programs staff who lead marketing for regional and smaller ES events.
- Provide input on marketing materials and exhibits being created for ES events.
- Be a resource within Stantec for best practices for conferences and events.
- New initiatives that the team undertakes will be assigned as developed.
- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
- Adherence to corporate and department policies and work in a manner to ensure safety by following company health and safety guidelines.

**Qualifications**

- Ability to lead projects from concept to delivery.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Highly self-motivated and well organized.

**Education and Experience**
- Post-secondary education in marketing, Data Analytics, Communications or Relevant Field required.
- Proven work experience as a marketing or relevant assistant, coordinator, specialist or professional.
- Minimum 1-5 years of experience in the A/E/C industry.
