**Reports to: Manager, Marketing & Communications**
The Alberta Motor Transport Association is a province-wide, not-for-profit, advocacy and safety training association that strives to facilitate the safe and efficient transport of people and goods to make life better for Albertans. **POSITION OBJECTIVE**
This position supports AMTA event and other sponsorships including the AMTA+ member program; collaborates with event committees; and utilizes communications, marketing, research< and tactical supports to help AMTA reach its strategic objectives.
**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Primary Role Responsibilities**
- Oversee sponsorship and fundraising activities within the organization (identify, build, maintain, and expand corporate sponsorships and fundraising initiatives)
- Work to develop relationships with AMTA sponsors and potential sponsors to foster a sense of growth and engagement
- Oversee, negotiate, and seek approval for all contractual agreements with vendors and service providers
- Support and coordinate sponsorships and events across the Alberta
- Work closely with the Events Specialist to compile, analyze, and present key metrics on the delivery of events and use this information to present further event ideas and/or opportunities
- Leverage data and insights to identify successes, benefits, and gaps in alignment with business needs; track KPIs to inform decisions and recommendations regarding sponsorships and events
- In collaboration with the Events Specialist, recommend and manage event technology platforms
- Oversees risk management for sponsorships and events, ensuring permits, licenses, and insurance documents are obtained as required
- Research trends in corporate sponsorships and events and provide recommendations for innovative opportunities that help meet strategic objectives and align with members' needs
- Support project planning by updating department manager, team and other internal stakeholders, as required
- Aid with management of the storage logistics and inventory of event collateral and promotional materials at storage locations; oversee the shipping and receiving of event materials
- Aid with requests for branded AMTA promotional materials from the purchasing process to delivery
**Secondary Role Responsibilities**
