The Vancouver Japanese Language School - Japanese Hall (VJLS-JH) is looking for a **Community Programming **Coordinator** to support the organization as it grows its programs. The Community Programing Coordinator will report to the Executive Director and be primarily responsible for managing volunteers, community events, and cultural programs with opportunities to work on large, strategic projects for the organization.

**Primary Responsibilities of the Community Programming Coordinator**:

- ** Community Programming**
- Manages and organizes all annual community events including Shichigosan, Mochitsuki, the Fall Bazaar, Spring Market, Tanabata Festival, and our partnership with the Powell Street Festival.
- Leads the recruitment, coordinates, and training of volunteers to lead Historic Walking Tours in the Paueru Gai (Powell St.) neighbourhood each summer.
- Manages the VJLS-JH Library membership system and supports members to create or renew their accounts.
- ** Volunteer Management**
- Manages the recruitment, training, and coordination of VJLS-JH's event and programming volunteers.
- Supports our Kitchen Volunteers to organize the Saturday lunch program.
- Supports our Library Volunteers to organize and update the library space and its collections.
- ** Administration**
- Provides reception coverage during weekdays to support VJLS-JH students and families
- Provides administration support to the Administrative Manager to assist with responding to community requests and questions.
