Calgary, Canada Acadia Community Association Full time

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (feel free to add to this if there are additional)**
- Planning, organizing, coordinating and implementing programs, services and special events for the Acadia Community Association (ACA) and the Acadia Recreation Complex (ARK)
- Work closely with the public to create exciting opportunities for both the ACA and the ARK.
- Work closely with the ED to identify potential opportunities for expanding the programs and events for the ACA and the ARK.
- Work closely with the Special Events Supervisor to support the logistics for implementation and ongoing programs and events within the ARK.
- Identify areas for improvement and growth in existing programs and events.
- Assisting in the preparation, monitoring and oversight of program and event budgets.
- Effectively marketing the programs and events via websites, social media platforms and other means.
- Explore opportunities for funding, sponsorship, and reciprocal agreements for programming and events.

**SKILLS**
- Work well with a team who bring a lot of experience and knowledge.
- Be flexible in your schedule to accommodate events that run on evenings and weekends. Attendance may not always be required but flexibility is needed.
- Be a strong communicator with written and verbal.
- Be self motivated, organized, detailed, dependable and reliable.
- Positive, happy attitude with a desire to provide great support and services.
- Ability to evaluate tangible measurables and make recommendations.
- Oversee and report on budgets for both proposed and active projects.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- 1-2 years experience in events / programming planning.
- Marketing knowledge with both print / digital and social media.
- Excellent communications skills and proven experience in event planning and delivering a high level of customer service.
- Experience with sport programming an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
