Practical Nursing Instructor

**Description**:
NLC's Practical Nursing Program requires a temporary, full-time instructor to teach **PNUR 246: Consolidated Practice 4**, a group clinical course offered at the Fort St John Hospital. This practice experience provides learners with the opportunity to integrate theory from all courses into the role of the Practical Nurse in the acute care setting and other practice areas

Student contact time will take place from March 27 - May 16th, with prep hours provided prior to the beginning of the course.

**Qualifications:
- Required:_
- Completion of an accredited Diploma in Practical Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing;
- Current, full practicing license as an LPN, RPN, RN, or NP with the BC College of Nursing and Midwives;
- Minimum two years (full-time equivalent) of recent Canadian Nursing experience in multi-level complex care settings;
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations (as mandated by PHO);
- Ability to function effectively as a team member;
- Committed to student motivation and achievement; and
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

- Teaching experience as a nurse educator; and
- A credential in adult education, such as the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program.
