We are currently seeking a strategic Key Account Manager to develop high yielding and repeat clients. This person will first undertake mentorship training to learn Hi Signs unique offerings and products that we deliver.
This position also works hand-in-hand with our project management team, estimator, and design team to help create beautifully designed and well-thought out proposals in response to RFPs. Signage industry experience is not a requirement as Hi Signs has its own in-house training. Inputting and analyzing business/client data, understanding behavioral decision making, and strong computer skills are a mandatory requirement to be successful in this role.
The Key Account Manager, as a member of the sales team, is responsible for achieving annual targets associated with the custom signage business unit, across the province.
**REPORTING RELATIONSHIP & REPORTING**:
Directly to Director of Sales & Marketing, and General Manager
Weekly status reporting on activities, daily CRM updates on activities.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
- Develop large business opportunities within assigned customers
- Effectively meet customers needs, building productive client relationships, and taking responsibility for customer satisfaction
- Gather necessary information to ensure profitability of Major Accounts
- Prepare business reviews on a regular basis in all accounts, design new account presentations covering the key benefits to our customers and the value added of being associated with Hi Signs
- Increase profitability as well as growth
- Culminate very strong client relationships (very few clients, but deep rooting relationships)
- Research and understand all facets of a customers business
- Attend networking events (subsidized by Hi Signs)
**EDUCATION & PREREQUISITES**:
- Education: University degree or diploma in Business or Marketing
- Related Work Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience in sales and marketing including significant exposure and familiarity with proven sales techniques and processes.
- Required Skills: persuasion, negotiation, supervisory, analytical thinking, judgment and decision making, reading comprehension, management of material resources, project management, comprehension of detailed design drawings, time management, presentation skills, and strong computer skills
- Change: as a change agent, you will be very comfortable driving change and helping to overcome the natural resistance to it
- Communications: Excellent interpersonal, communications and written skills at all levels; ability to interact with internal teams at all levels, management, customers, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve successful objectives.
- Travel: Travel may be required within province where virtual meetings aren’t possible
- Team Player: Team player with exceptional attention to detail and a high interest in ensuring excellent customer service levels. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a broad range of individuals and styles.
- Analytics: Proven analytical skills, attention to detail, sense of urgency. Ability to problem solve and resolve conflict
- Perpetual Learner: Frequently reads texts (both print and non-print) including trade magazines, newsletters, journals, financial reports, trend watcher, self-development books, etc.
- Software & Tools: Proficient in the entire suite of MS Office (or G Suite). CRM experience essential with Pipedrive, Salesforce, AgileCRM or equivalent.
- Multi-Tasking: Strong ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate priorities. Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, and effectively deal with ambiguous situations.
