**About the Organization**
- The
- **Wabanaki-Labrador Indigenous Health Research Network** (WLN) is guided by the principles of co-learning, co-mentorship, and relational ethics. The WLN seeks to transform Indigenous health research, by supporting and promoting community-driven research to produce meaningful, ethical, and respectful research from Indigenous peoples throughout the region see benefit. It is based out of Dalhousie University in K’jipuktuk, Mi’kma’ki (Halifax, NS).

**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Compile and organize relevant information and documentation related to grant preparation and project activities.
- Contribute to the creation of culturally safe and culturally appropriate spaces and activities that support Indigenous health research.
- Assist with organizing meetings and taking notes/distributing meeting minutes, as required.
- Liaise with the research team, institutional partners, and community partners for the primary purpose of collecting grant applicant information including personal CVs, letters of support, and other supporting documents.
- Contribute to the overall activities of the team, as required and perform other related duties, as required.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

Dalhousie’s vaccine mandate has been suspended at this time, and employees no longer need to provide proof of full vaccination. However, health and safety risks to our community will continue to be monitored and a vaccine mandate may be reinstated if necessary.

**Required Qualifications**
- Certificate or diploma in office administrative or related field with a minimum of two (2) years experience working within an academic institution.
- Lived experience and/or in-depth knowledge related to working in Indigenous communities in Atlantic Canada.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write for, and work with diverse audiences.
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative, act resourcefully, and think creatively.
- Commitment to diplomacy and a high level of integrity.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a diverse team.

**Assets**
- Undergraduate degree in social sciences or in a health-related field.
- Experience with MS 365 and its suite of programs.
