**Leading Primary Health Care in Guelph**

**Role**: The Guelph Family Health Team is looking for a full-time (1.0FTE) **Administrative Assistant **for a 6-12 month contract. The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical duties that are essential to the efficient patient flow and support of Guelph Family Health Team programs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Overall management of front desk and all patient phone and check-in duties.
- Create and maintain patient charts in electronic medical records system.
- Book, monitor and reschedule appointments.
- Accurate electronic medical record documentation.
- Manage referrals, faxes, and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Manage and order office and clinical supplies.
- Organize meetings and education sessions.
- Book interpreters for patient appointments.
- Manage patient, family, and colleague interactions in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to work at multiple locations
- Some evenings may be required.

**Qualifications**:

- Medical Office Administration certificate or diploma
- Medical office experience considered an asset.
- Experience with Telus PS Suite electronic medical records considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, and families.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: Up to $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
