**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
As an HR Advisor, you will get in-depth generalist exposure and experience across our portfolio of clients and the contexts they operate in. You will bring knowledge of HR management, organizational change, employment law, payroll and benefits, performance management, and the employee life cycle to complete projects and offer guidance and advisory to support the functional HR needs of our clients. You’ll work together with, and report to the Forward Level HR Director to partner with leaders and key people within our clients’ organizations in a consultancy capacity.
This role is for a strategic problem solver that leads with empathy and isn’t afraid of a tough conversation. You will provide ad-hoc advisory to help business leaders address day-to-day issues. Your ability to make authentic connections will be leveraged across clients in multiple industries. Staying up to date in the trends that impact the employment context will ensure you provide a level of service delivery that is second to none.
Your work and ideas will help us build and evolve the people and workplace culture of our client’s organizations. Our team builds measurable marketing and HR strategies that move our clients forward and we deliver innovative programs and initiatives to support them. We’re obsessed with the human experience and work to design clever solutions for our end users that are seamless, practical, and technology forward.
Communication is paramount in this role. You will have daily interactions with our clients, the Forward Level marketing team, and external stakeholders such as benefits or HRIS platforms/vendors. This role works in a combination of onsite at our Calgary Beltline (11 Ave SW) office, and remotely to meet the needs of the business and of our clients during M - F business hours.
**WHAT YOU’LL DO DAY TO DAY**:
**HR ADVISORY & ADMINISTRATION**:
- Address ad-hoc inquiries from HR advisory clients as they relate to performance concerns, conflict resolution, employee life-cycle transactions, compliance, benefits, and leaves, and more.
- Update and manage data and employee records in a variety of HRIS platforms.
- Design various components of the onboarding and offboarding processes to maximize efficiency, compliance, data integrity, and the employee experience.
- Prepare employee correspondence as required to document changes, updates, and more.
- Support and guide the administration of employee life-cycle transactions to ensure they are documented, communicated, and properly cascaded through the payroll and benefits channels.
- HR Administration for the Forward Level Marketing team.
- Assist in the development and communication of internal employee policies and guidelines.
**ONGOING HR SERVICE DELIVERY**:
- Complete projects and lead initiatives that support the HR strategies of our clients in areas such as compensation, benefits, HR information systems, policy development, training, performance assessment, and more.
- Help to establish control systems that are compliant with applicable legislation and HR business practice.
- Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the FL Marketing team on HX (human experience) projects such as employee satisfaction surveys, employment brand and employer value proposition creation, and anywhere that’s required.
