Regional Vice President, Sales

The Regional Vice President leads a sales team for the region, consisting of, Wholesalers, Inside Sales Representatives and Sales Assistants. This position is responsible for developing Sales strategy for the Region, and providing input to the National Sales Manager on the overall National Sales strategy and for setting and achieving regional sales targets
**Responsibilities**:
- Increase sales and grow CI’s market share, look for new business development opportunities and new channels for product distribution
- Build consultative relationships with Advisors and staff
- Work closely with Wholesalers to develop territory plans, includes providing guidance and coaching when necessary
- Champion effective use CI’s CRM platform to maximize sales results in the territory
- Master CI’s investment message
- Represent CI at regional and national conferences
- Consistently improve and develop product knowledge, sales skills and efficiencies
- Use deliberate, thoughtful scheduling and calendar management in order to maximize client time and to ensure activity corresponds to territory priorities
Experience
- 7+ years of sales experience related to the role as an external wholesaler
- Established relationships within the industry and the company is preferred
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated proficiency in general business disciplines, strategic planning, sale process
Education
- University degree
- Canadian Security Course
- CFP, CIM or CFA an asset
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to manage change and to support company-wide initiatives
- Able to make appropriate decisions, while working within the regulatory framework
- Ability to build and lead a team of sale professionals working towards a common goal.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- In depth investment management and general market knowledge
- Full understanding of mutual funds sales practices and codes
Working Conditions
- Frequent travel required (50% of the time)
- Required to work beyond normal working hours
