**THE OPPORTUNITY**: MANAGER, PAYROLL AND BENEFITS

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Payroll and Benefits to join our Employee Services team. Reporting to the Human Resources Director of People Services, this key leadership role is responsible for managing and providing strategic direction and operational excellence for Payroll, Benefits and Compliance team. The VSB processes five distinct pay groups and adheres to fourteen (14) Collective Agreements and three (3) exempt association terms and conditions of employment. There are two semi-monthly pay groups and two bi-weekly pay groups and a third for the period of Summer Learning (July to September).

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education in business administration, commerce, finance, or equivalent.

Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation.

Minimum of fifteen years’ experience in Payroll with increasing responsibility and supervision experience.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for the Manager, Payroll and Benefits is $116,732 - $137,332. Benefits include vacation entitlement starting at 20 days and maxing out at 35 days per year, opportunity to earn gratuity and compensatory days, Municipal Pension Plan, an additional 2% of base pay employer paid contribution to the Vancouver Employee Savings Plan (may be directed to a TFSA or RRSP or investment fund), Extended Health, Dental and an accrual of 20 sick days (10 of which may be used for family illness) per calendar year.
