**About the role**:
**DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants** is seeking a **Human Resources Assistant** to join our team in our downtown Vancouver office. As a key member of DMCL’s HR Team, you will be responsible for assisting in the recruitment process, administrative functions and so much more within our HR department.

Our human resources team knows that our people are our greatest asset. They’re focused on providing DMCL staff with the tools, resources and support they need to be their best. As the traditional idea of the workplace continues to change and be challenged, our human resources team is quick to find new ways to keep our team feeling safe, connected and appreciated. In addition to taking care of our staff, our HR team also leads the firm’s recruitment efforts and supports all four of our offices.

**How you’ll make a difference**
- Assist with full cycle recruitment, including development of on-line job postings, screening resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews, reference checks and job offers;
- Event organization and coordination, actively managing meetings and acting as a facilitator during events;
- Facilitate and enhance the management and development of the firm's CPA student program;
- Update employee records on our HRIS (BambooHR); investigate all functions of the software program and ensure the most relevant features are fully utilized;
- Process documentation and prepare xl reports relating to people activities by accessing various on-line resources and programs (staffing, recruitment, training, evaluations, professional and student development etc.);
- Deliver and continue to develop our new hire onboarding process;
- Prepare HR correspondence including offer letters, new hire packages, letters of employment and salary letters;
- Assist with staff requests regarding HR queries, issues, rules and regulations in accordance with firm policies and procedures;
- Assist in organizing employee events, internal employee communications and HR intranet content;
- Provide administrative HR support and assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.

**Who you are**:

- Minimum of one-two years’ experience in a HR focused role;
- Completion of a post-secondary Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources, working towards CPHR designation an asset;
- Knowledge of BambooHR (or other HRIS) would be an asset;
- Must be able to work in the office, limited remote working.

- Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook with the ability to grasp new technological tools;
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
- Detail-oriented individual with superior organizational and multi-tasking skills;
- Ability to contribute innovative ideas and strategies for continuous improvement within the organization;
- Professional and personable manner;
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment;
- A self starter with a high degree of motivation and initiative with a proactive approach to work;
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with tact and discretion.
