**Worksite**:Human Resources Department, Central Library, 350 W. Georgia St., Vancouver, BC. This is an onsite role.

In this role, the Human Resources Administrative Assistant will support the Human Resources department by handling a variety of administrative tasks such as recruitment and selection support, induction training coordination, minute-taking, drafting and editing documents and spreadsheets, scheduling meetings, maintaining HRIS, providing HR reception services to staff and the public, answering general queries, and other related duties as required.

- Two years of experience in an administrative assistant role.
- Experience in a Human Resources department in a unionized workplace would be an asset.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail; independent problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.

**Affiliation**: Exempt
**Employment Type**: Temporary Full-Time, three-months with possibility of extension
**Salary**: $28.91 per hour plus 6% vacation pay
**Work Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
