**About Us**:
The Faculty of Health Sciences is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of six Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centre’s. The faculty has more than 3,200 undergraduate students and more than 800 graduate students (200 PhD students).

The Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing educates nurses who are reflective practitioners and provides recognized leadership in nursing research, theory, practice, and policy advancements. Our research programs seek to develop knowledge capable of enhancing health equity by transforming practice, services, education and policies that affect health and well-being across the lifespan in 5 overlapping areas of strength: Women’s Health; Violence, Gender and Health; Digital Health; Mental Health; and Global and Indigenous Health.

**Responsibilities**:
As a part of the Clinical Practice Unit in the School of Nursing, the Program Assistant will provide support for undergraduate and graduate student clinical placements. The Program Assistant’s responsibilities include data management and reporting; detailed systems administration involving student data, forms, and agency placement tracking (HSPnet, Synergy Verified, InPlace, etc.); evaluation and survey dissemination and reporting; and general administrative support.

**Qualifications**:
Education
- Required: 3-year Community College Diploma in Administrative or Business Studies
- Preferred: undergraduate university degree

**Experience**:

- Required: 3 years of experience providing program support and customer service in an academic setting
- Preferred: Experience administering undergraduate programs, clinical placements, and student policies and procedures

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Advanced skills in Excel, Word (Microsoft Office), Adobe Acrobat
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and Qualtrics
- Proficiency in working with large data sets/databases
- Strong attention to detail and ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
- Knowledge of University academic policies and procedures and on-campus services/supports preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, tact, discretion, and confidence dealing with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on work assignments
- Ability to multi-task and maintain an organized and effective personal work environment
- Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, faculty members, students, and partner agencies
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Professional manner, tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with associates and colleagues including senior management
