**JOB SUMMARY**
- The Program Coordinator in Climate Change and Resiliency Services responds to current and emerging community needs through funding and capacity building to support and strengthen the City’s climate mitigation efforts; coordinating engagement strategies, action plans and partnerships with internal and community stakeholders; and developing and leading City-wide initiatives on behalf of the Strategic Initiatives department and Council to promote the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.- You are responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation of Climate Change and Resiliency Services strategic projects/programs and initiatives. You: liaise with the assigned service area, department and/or community group(s) to undertake capacity building and benchmarking activities; contribute to the service area’s public engagement plans and program-specific communications plans; and write, edit, and coordinate the design of outreach materials and content intended for public distribution. You also support the planning and execution of public events on behalf of Climate Change and Resiliency Services.**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Completion of 4 year university degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Public Relations or related field.- Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience working in a large organization, with demonstrated experience in areas relating to community development, project management, community involvement, events planning or promotional activities.**KNOWLEDGE**
- General knowledge of the Corporation, departmental and service area business requirements, policies and organizational structure
