**JOB SUMMARY**
- Homelessness Programs and Residential Services is responsible for planning and managing the effective functioning, coordination and monitoring of the homelessness service system, which involves the effective delivery of services to the community through non-profit agencies/for profit providers, including street outreach, housing with supports and transitional/supportive housing, Housing First including housing subsidies, general housing assistance and residential service homes.- You are responsible for: developing, implementing and coordinating street outreach, housing support programs, supportive housing programs, homelessness prevention supports funding and various special projects, including the initiation, development and management of existing and new partnerships with diverse external stakeholders and funders to provide housing support and homelessness prevention supports; the development and monitoring of complex contracts and service agreements, and compliance reviews and analysis and submission of reporting requirements and deliverables to senior levels of government; negotiating budgets and costs associated with the services contracts; playing a leadership role in developing and implementing local planning processes to determine service needs by organizing and facilitating annual community consultation initiatives; facilitating community consultations with agency stakeholders and clients; resolving conflicts and problem solving with community agencies to develop solutions to improve service delivery and to respond to emerging community needs or issues; supporting senior staff in the decision making process by conducting research, compiling and analyzing research findings, briefing senior staff, writing Council reports and Branch Briefing Notes for budget preparation and issues management; and responding to requests and complaints directed to senior staff from the general public, City council, internal City staff, community stakeholders and other levels of government.**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Completion of 3 year university degree in Arts, Social Work, Sociology or Criminology or related field- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the homelessness services system, supportive housing or social services sector, directly related experience in the development or delivery of social services, including direct experience in planning, designing, implementing, funding and evaluating programs targeted to vulnerable, at risk, low income persons.**KNOWLEDGE**
