The **Sales Data Specialist** is responsible for developing and maintaining models that track and analyze outcomes and recommends ways to assess and measure opportunities for continuous improvement. He/she works in partnership with cross functional associates to understand the needs of the commercial team, and to implement appropriate solutions to meet them. Importance is placed on problem solving through continuous improvement of reporting processes, systems, and models, through staying up to date with the latest technologies and trends in data analysis and visualization. He/she will lead projects and initiatives, develop/launch new sales tools, provide user training and support, and will implement formal standards to always ensure data integrity across all activities.

The Sales Data Specialist will work closely with the Field Sales and TSO teams to identify opportunities for growth and optimization, developing a strong knowledge of order management, DSD delivery, merchandising, and in-store selling, and can develop meaningful formats for assessing performance in these areas of the business. This may include developing and maintaining dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to track key performance indicators (KPIs). Analysis and outputs are executed with integrity and precision and are timely and well organized to enhance sales and business efforts and support senior level decision-making. #LI-Hybrid #LI-RM1

The Sales Data Specialist plays a key role in supporting the organization through ongoing business transformation, including implementation of new technology and enhanced sources of sales data/intelligence. He/she embraces new systems and tools with agility, and advocates for their adoption amongst other users by offering training and support. He/she is comfortable working in an environment that relies on multiple data sources, and continually explores and implements leading analytics approaches and advanced analytics models such as AI, machine learning, correlation analysis, predictive models, automation, natural language processing, external data sources, etc.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Design, implement, and maintain robust SQL databases to support the organization's data needs using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Ensure the integrity, performance, and security of databases through regular monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting using SSMS.
- Capable of setting up a centralized data warehouse, with a focus on Azure-based solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement data warehouse solutions that meet business needs.
- Develop and optimize Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to efficiently move data between systems and ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices for data extraction and transformation to support analytics and reporting requirements.
- Utilize Azure services, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics, to build scalable and high-performance data solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for database architecture, data models, and ETL processes.
- Utilize Python for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting tasks to enhance data processing capabilities. Implement and maintain Python-based solutions for data-related challenges.
- Leverage Excel VBA coding for automation and data processing within Excel environments.
- Develop and enhance Excel-based tools to streamline data-related tasks and reporting.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on SQL databases and centralized data warehouses.
- Strong proficiency in working with Azure services, including but not limited to Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration.
- Familiarity with best practices for data security, integrity, and performance optimization.
