We are searching on behalf of one of our clients for additional consultants to join a team on the migration of their legacy ERP system to SAP.

The organization is a leading provider of thermoplastic piping products. The organization is expanding their operations in Canada & the U.S. and are seeking an experienced ERP Specialist to work on a large, complex, multi-year initiative for SAP ERP Implementation. The successful individual will be responsible for managing end-to-end Enterprise related activities on this critical project that will drive business improvements and strategic objectives for the organization.

Reporting to the Workstream and Functional Lead, the ERP Specialist will be the go-to person for all aspects of ERP related activities within the project lifecycle.

Principal Responsibilities

  • ERP Specialist will be responsible for Inventory Optimization and Material Planning functions (ensuring timely availability of critical materials).
  • Work closely with supply chain, procurement and manufacturing team for cross-functional processes and interdependencies, assess the KPIs.
  • Optimize procurement, inventory management (overstocking, stockouts), and material planning processes.
  • Business processes analysis, implementation, testing, training, and support.
  • Analyze systems for Data Elements usage, ensure timely delivery of master data and monitor data quality and consistency overall material group.
  • Also support training development and delivery to business functions as well as set up planning views for this group.
  • Develop plans and test SAP IBP solution to ensure readiness for overall solution deployment for go-live.
  • Support Cutover plan development.
  • Obtain knowledge transition from system integrators and prepare for post go-live support/hyper-care.
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings as needed.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience with hands-on experience; preferably working in a structured business and technical environment.
  • Minimum 10 years direct experience managing large scale ERP projects preferably in SAP.
  • Experience with Material Planning and Inventory Optimization (IO).
  • Experience with SAP FTP - Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Experience in leading enterprise-level or large-scale projects or programs involving multiple business teams.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a STEM focus (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math).
  • Bilingualism (an asset)
