Length of term: 12 Months with a potential extension

Work schedule: 40 hours/week

Work mode: Hybrid (onsite each Tuesday and Wednesday, Oakville office)



We are searching for an experienced Junior Data Migration Specialist to work on a large, complex, multi-year initiative for SAP ERP Implementation. The successful individual will be responsible for executing end-to-end Data Migration activities on this critical project that will drive business improvements and strategic objectives for the organization.


Reporting to the MTD Workstream and Functional Lead, the Junior Data Migration Specialist will be required to work on all aspects of Data Migration activities within the project lifecycle.


Principal Responsibilities


  • As a Junior Data Migration Specialist, primary responsibility will be to execute/support data migration activities. These activities are related to data preparation, pre-load and post load validation of data from Legacy to SAP S4 HANA.
  • Ensure data integrity between different data objects (Material Master, BOM, Routing, etc.).
  • Responsible to ensure that the data is migrated accurately, securely, and efficiently.
  • Work with other members of the Data Migration team and business members of the project to help convert data to the new S4 HANA environment from non-SAP Legacy team.
  • Perform data profiling, data validations, data cleansing & data enrichment.
  • Resolve data migration issues and provide technical support for the data migration process to ensure that it runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Consult with various stakeholders including subject matter experts to understand the source and target data models and business requirements.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of data models for projects that are part of current and future migrations.
  • Creating documentation of the project process to serve as a guide for future migration projects.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement, automation, and optimization.
  • Should be independently working with customers and Team.
  • Should be well conversant with Data Migration from Non-SAP systems to SAP S4HANA system.
  • Manage and coordinate across functional teams consisting of business team members (internal, external, consultants, contractors, vendors).
  • Communicate project needs, objectives, activities, and actionable deliverables.
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings.


Requirements and qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in SAP Data Migration with hands-on experience; preferably working in a structured business and technical environment.
  • Minimum 3-5 years direct experience working on large-scale SAP project as part of Data Migration team.
  • Experience with SAP Bill of Material (BOM), Routing and Manufacturing is critical.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing or supply chain environment would be an asset.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a STEM focus (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math).
  • Bilingualism (an asset)
