Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our logistics team as a Logistics Operations Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Logistics Operations Specialist, you will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager and play a crucial role in facilitating the logistics processes to ensure the efficient movement of our product line. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating communication between third-party logistics providers and internal teams.
  • Coordinating pick-up and delivery schedules with carriers and load brokers.
  • Supporting the sales department by generating load plans and shipping estimates for customer orders.
  • Providing rate approvals and new shipping lanes to the freight auditing team.
  • Conducting audits and approvals of freight invoices.
  • Managing the shipping of inventory transfers between third-party warehouses.
  • Following up on any refused or lost shipments.
  • Performing data analysis to report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and other assigned projects.
  • Assisting with shipping logistics for trade shows.

Return Logistics:
Your role will also encompass responsibilities related to product returns, including:

  • Quoting freight rates and preparing shipping documents for product returns.
  • Completing and tracking freight claims for returned items.

Compliance and Documentation:
In addition, you will be responsible for reviewing shipping documents to ensure accuracy in pricing and quantity, as well as compliance with customs regulations. Your tasks will include:

  • Maintaining a comprehensive database of HS/HTS codes for both existing and new products.
  • Keeping records of imports and exports for drawback programs.
  • Submitting duty/tariff drawback claims by reviewing import and export documentation for accuracy and guiding third-party companies as needed.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Logistics and customs compliance.
  • Experience in supply chain management and customs clearance is advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Netsuite or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, data processing, and problem-solving abilities.
