YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Nunavut HR General Supervisor, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment:

  1. Documentation Management: Process, verify, and update documentation related to HR activities, including legal employee documents, performance management, and statistics;
  2. Employee Data Management: Accurately and promptly create employee records in JD Edwards in accordance with payroll deadlines;
  3. Status Changes: Process employee status changes for various Nunavut divisions;
  4. Data Integrity: Ensure the integrity of JD Edwards data through standard auditing practices;
  5. Onboarding Support: Provide support with the onboarding of new employees;
  6. Policy Guidance: Advise employees on relevant policies and procedures, or direct inquiries to the appropriate person;
  7. Reporting and Research: Execute various reports, compare data, statistics, and other information, and conduct research as required;
  8. Employee Engagement: Assist the HR counselors with recognition and social activities;
  9. Office Administration: Manage office supplies for the MIR office;
  10. Flight Management: Administer the employee compensation linked to flight delays or cancellations;
  11. General HR Support: Assist with other HR-related duties as required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
  1. Certificate or bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration;
  2. Minimum three years’ experience in a human resource role;
  3. Experience with JD Edwards is considered a strong asset;
  4. Very detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities;
  5. Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Note that the official working language of our Nunavut operations is English.
