NOTES ON LOCATION: Resource will work in a hybrid manner with a minimum of 3 days in office as above, though must be available for onsite meetings when required.

  1. University graduation in business, management or related discipline, and four years of Project Management (PM) experience
  2. Two-year diploma in business, management or related discipline and six years of PM experience
  3. One year certificate in business, management or related discipline and seven years of PM experience
  4. Eight years of PM experience
8 years experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.8 years experience developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs and project closures.8 years experience managing custom application development projects with at least 5 team members.8 years experience managing multiple projects concurrently.8 years experience successfully implementing IT solutions in an environment with project resources from across multiple teams or organizations.8 years experience working as a Project Manager on a large complex custom software application development project in an environment of similar size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
  1. Active Certified Scrum Master certification.
  2. Active professional Scrum Master certification (PSM).
  3. Currently active PMP or PGMP Certification as issued by the Project Management Institute or equivalent.
  4. 4 years experience conducting, facilitating, and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios.
  5. 4 years experience creating and managing project forecast and actual budgets.
  6. 7 years experience developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships across the organization, including executive level.
  7. 2 years experience making decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues without formal guidelines or precedents and exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity.
  8. 4 years experience working with Mandated and Legislated Projects within short timelines.
  9. 5 years experience leading project governance, change management and communication activities.
  10. 4 years experience working with technical teams on complex IMT projects.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDescription:

Project Name: Court Technology Services Projects

Scope: Court Technology Services, within the Alberta Courts is seeking a Project Manager to work on the design/implementation plan/program development plan for various projects within the technology delivery space of the Alberta Courts. The resource will be assigned to various projects including Justice Digital – the digital transformation of the Courts, Video Conference Expansion – The upgrading of courtrooms across the province with cutting edge technology, CTS Transformation – the restructure and building of the IT delivery organization including process, procedure, capabilities, etc. As well, there are a host of technology projects that include upgrading and implementing technology in the Courts technology environment.

  1. Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues in collaboration with the senior leadership team and internal stakeholders.
  2. Prepare presentations for engagement with stakeholders, steering committees, project groups and other stakeholders.
  3. Support team members in the analysis of industry engagement surveys.
  4. Manage tasks and action items and follow up and escalate as required.
  5. Provide direction to cross functional team(s) to ensure successful delivery of product(s).
  6. Track and monitor scope and timelines for delivery of data product(s).
