About the Company:
Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing company based in Toronto, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Representative to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

  1. Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment.
  2. Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve discrepancies.
  3. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  4. Maintain vendor records, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
  5. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure accuracy in ledgers.
  6. Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.

Accounts Receivable:

  1. Generate and distribute invoices to clients in a timely manner.
  2. Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection.
  3. Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  4. Prepare and present regular reports on aging and outstanding accounts.
  5. Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and discrepancies.
  6. Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts receivable.

Qualifications:

  1. Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  8. Experience with ERP systems.
  9. Knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and compliance.
