Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry for accounts payable invoices, including coding purchase orders and verifying entries.
- Process expense reports by reviewing receipts, coding purchase orders, and ensuring accurate GL account entries.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of credit card transactions, including receipt verification and payment allocations.
- Manage the accounts payable inbox and respond to inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate order receipt and invoicing, addressing discrepancies with vendors promptly.
- Analyze vendor statements and manage aging reports to maintain accurate accounts payable records.
- Assist in reconciling the accounts payable ledger and addressing outstanding invoices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting from a recognized institution.
- Experience in a high-volume manual accounts payable environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounts payable best practices, policies, and procedures is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and solve problems effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and independently as required.
