Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry for accounts payable invoices, including coding purchase orders and reviewing entries.
- Process expense reports, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with company policies.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of credit card transactions, verifying receipts and allocating payments appropriately.
- Manage the accounts payable inbox, addressing inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies with vendors.
- Analyze vendor statements and manage aging reports to maintain accurate records.
- Assist in reconciling the accounts payable ledger and clearing outstanding invoices.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the finance team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience in a high-volume accounts payable environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounts payable best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
