Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry for accounts payable invoices, including coding purchase orders and verifying entries.
- Process expense reports by reviewing receipts, coding purchase orders, and ensuring accurate tax and general ledger account entries.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of credit card transactions, ensuring all receipts are accounted for and payments are allocated correctly.
- Manage the accounts payable inbox, addressing inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Reconcile accounts, ensuring that orders are accurately received and invoiced, while resolving discrepancies with vendors promptly.
- Analyze vendor statements and manage accounts payable aging reports.
- Assist in reconciling the accounts payable ledger and addressing outstanding invoices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of post-secondary education in Accounting from a recognized institution.
- Experience in a high-volume manual processing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounts payable best practices and standard operating procedures is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being capable of independent work.
