Responsibilities
In this Accounts Payable Administrator role in Downtown Toronto, you will be responsible for the following:

  1. Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, including matching invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
  2. Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate approval before processing for payment.
  3. Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure proper coding and classification of expenses.
  4. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  5. Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and wire payments for vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and payment history.
  7. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues courteously and professionally.
  8. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
  9. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounts payable processes and contribute to overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications
In this Accounts Payable Administrator role in Downtown Toronto, you will be required to have the following:

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience processing full-cycle AP.
  2. Experience working within the banking or similar financial industry is required.
  3. Experience with vendor management is required.
  4. Experience working with accounting systems like SAP or Oracle is a great asset.
