The Director, ERP will be key part of the ERP and Business Systems team and will be responsible for planning, designing, enhancing, deploying, and supporting all aspects of the ERP solution at Arc’teryx. The role will provide strategic leadership on integrated business processes like Procure to Pay and Order to Cash, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Operations and Data Governance to help build an efficient and effective business operation. The role will own, prioritize, optimize, and execute on the ERP strategic roadmap in conjunction with the business partners. You provide coaching and leadership to the team, ensuring they are supported in their day-to-day challenges and set up for success in delivering high quality solutions.

Meet Your Future Team: The ERP and Business Applications department is comprised of a team of technical professionals and subject matter experts who know and understand the tools that we use to support the business. We strategically define business cases, prioritize projects, and deliver ERP and Commercial projects, ensuring that dependencies are mapped out and sequenced to deliver the overall technology roadmap. Together, we host, manage, and improve a range of technical tools for all aspects of design, business, finance, logistics, global sales, and many other heroes within the organization.

If you were the Director, ERP now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Develop and execute the strategic direction for the ERP suite of products, in alignment with the organizational objectives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure effective governance of the ERP solution and adherence to best practices
  • Ensure delivery excellence by building a high performing team. Foster a culture of excellence, partnership, and continuous improvement
  • Drive the adoption of the ERP solution by executing on the technology vision for the ERP Platform
  • Provide functional leadership and guidance to both the ERP team and the business users. Help optimize business processes and unlock hidden value within the ERP environment
  • Establish and enforce design principles, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency and maintain system integrity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to plan, prioritize and manage the delivery of enhancements and new functionalities to the ERP suite of products. Ensure that all the configuration changes and enhancements meet SOX regulatory compliance standards
  • Manage the review and approval process for the ERP configuration change requests, enhancement requests, and development activity. Predominantly adhere to standard solution
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in ERP functionality and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and business SME’s by providing thought leadership and recommendations on leveraging ERP capabilities to drive business growth and optimize business operations
  • Build strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and consultants to leverage their expertise to support and enhance the ERP landscape
  • Collaborate with other IT peers to ensure best-in-class SDLC management from solutioning of the business requirements through to development, testing and deployment of world class solutions
  • Identify training requirements and coordinate end user training for ERP systems
  • Support the ERP portfolio of applications by monitoring and maintaining the performance of the ERP applications. Troubleshoot failures, monitor jobs and resolve issues in line with SLA’s. Continually improve the internal IT processes and tools based on ITIL standards for Incident Management
  • Administer and resolve applications issues, deploy system upgrades and patches, and perform root cause analysis to proactively identify and resolve system failures

  • Manage the SAP S/4 HANA upgrades to higher releases
  • Operate, govern, standardize, and optimize the SAP landscape
  • Innovate and enhance SAP functionalities to enable new business capabilities
  • Migrate legacy SAP PI/PO integrations to SAP BTP-IS
  • Develop policy, controls, and standards for integrations
  • Lead large, highly visible, and impactful projects that enable the company to innovate, grow and evolve
Are you our next Director, ERP?
  • You have a relevant university degree or technical diploma in a related information technology field, a master’s degree would be considered an asset
  • You have 10+ years of hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and supporting the SAP ERP systems, including solid understanding of the SAP landscape, modules, terminology, and methodologies
  • You have a deep business process knowledge of key areas such as Master Data Management, Finance, Wholesale, Retail, Supply Chain Management, Merchandise Planning, and e-commerce
  • You have strong leadership skills, with an ability to build and lead high performing teams, with experience training, coaching and supervising team members
  • You have the ability to shape and deliver large, complicated projects, that meet and exceed business expectations
  • You have proven stakeholder management skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You have in-depth, end to end knowledge of the Apparel Industry business processes with exposure to buying, supply chain, finance, wholesale, and omni-channel retailing
  • You are an excellent collaborator while also able to work effectively with a team
  • You are adaptable and demonstrate forward thinking on new challenges
  • You are able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight timescales
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement with an agile mindset
