Job Summary
We are on the lookout for a Finance Transformation Specialist - ERP to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance ERP, you will oversee various ERP and process enhancement initiatives, ensuring our ERP system is utilized to its fullest potential. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical capabilities, and prior experience in finance transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
As the Finance Transformation Specialist - ERP, your duties will include:
- Engaging with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to collect and analyze requirements, translating them into functional designs for solutions in collaboration with internal technology and external consulting teams.
- Formulating and executing strategies to transition financial data and processes from multiple ERP systems to Sage X3.
- Establishing and implementing Global Financial Master Data and Process Standards.
- Creating and executing test plans to ensure the functionality and performance of solutions meet quality benchmarks.
- Co-developing training plans and materials to facilitate end-user training and promote adoption and sustainability of the solutions.
- Identifying change impacts and collaborating with key stakeholders to manage the change process effectively.
- Recognizing risks and devising mitigation strategies.
- Ensuring all implemented system and process modifications comply with SOX regulations.
- Assisting Finance Leaders with reporting requirements for senior stakeholders and other critical deliverables.
- Maintaining effective communication with all organizational levels, project teams, and external partners.
- Preparing and reviewing complex journal entries, accruals, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Ensuring systems uphold accuracy and compliance in financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Facilitating financial analysis, variance analysis, and account reconciliations to ensure precision and resolve discrepancies.
- Guaranteeing adherence to accounting principles, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
- Supporting special projects and initiatives as directed by management.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (Master's degree or CPA designation preferred).
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong familiarity with financial statements, general ledger operations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Experience in implementing finance transformation projects, with prior ERP implementation experience being advantageous.
- Experience in financial consolidations.
- Proficiency in Sage X3 and other financial ERP systems.
- Experience in a SOX-governed environment.
- A proven track record in managing and overseeing accounting operations efficiently.
