The Head of ERP Solutions will play a pivotal role within the ERP and Business Systems team, overseeing the planning, design, enhancement, deployment, and support of all facets of the ERP solution at Director File. This position will provide strategic leadership on integrated business processes such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Operations, and Data Governance, aimed at fostering an efficient and effective business operation. The individual will own, prioritize, optimize, and execute the ERP strategic roadmap in collaboration with business partners. You will offer coaching and leadership to the team, ensuring they are supported in their daily challenges and positioned for success in delivering high-quality solutions.

Meet Your Future Team: The ERP and Business Applications department consists of a team of technical professionals and subject matter experts who are well-versed in the tools that support the business. We strategically define business cases, prioritize projects, and deliver ERP and Commercial projects, ensuring that dependencies are mapped and sequenced to fulfill the overall technology roadmap. Together, we host, manage, and enhance a variety of technical tools for all aspects of design, business, finance, logistics, global sales, and many other key functions within the organization.

If you were the Head of ERP Solutions now, here are some of the core activities you would be engaged in:

  • Develop and implement the strategic direction for the ERP suite of products, aligning with organizational objectives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure effective governance of the ERP solution and adherence to best practices
  • Ensure delivery excellence by cultivating a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, partnership, and continuous improvement
  • Drive the adoption of the ERP solution by executing the technology vision for the ERP Platform
  • Provide functional leadership and guidance to both the ERP team and business users, optimizing business processes and unlocking hidden value within the ERP environment
  • Establish and enforce design principles, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency and maintain system integrity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to plan, prioritize, and manage the delivery of enhancements and new functionalities to the ERP suite of products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Manage the review and approval process for ERP configuration change requests, enhancement requests, and development activities, predominantly adhering to standard solutions
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in ERP functionality and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and business SMEs by providing thought leadership and recommendations on leveraging ERP capabilities to drive business growth and optimize operations
  • Build strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and consultants to leverage their expertise in supporting and enhancing the ERP landscape
  • Collaborate with IT peers to ensure best-in-class SDLC management from business requirements solutioning through to development, testing, and deployment of world-class solutions
  • Identify training needs and coordinate end-user training for ERP systems
  • Support the ERP portfolio of applications by monitoring and maintaining the performance of ERP applications, troubleshooting failures, monitoring jobs, and resolving issues in line with service level agreements. Continually improve internal IT processes and tools based on ITIL standards for Incident Management
  • Administer and resolve application issues, deploy system upgrades and patches, and perform root cause analysis to proactively identify and resolve system failures

  • Develop policies, controls, and standards for integrations
  • Lead large, highly visible, and impactful projects that enable the company to innovate, grow, and evolve
Are you our next Head of ERP Solutions?
  • You possess a relevant university degree or technical diploma in a related information technology field; a master's degree would be considered an asset
  • You have over 10 years of hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and supporting SAP ERP systems, with a solid understanding of the SAP landscape, modules, terminology, and methodologies
  • You have deep business process knowledge in key areas such as Master Data Management, Finance, Wholesale, Retail, Supply Chain Management, Merchandise Planning, and e-commerce
  • You exhibit strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams, along with experience in training, coaching, and supervising team members
  • You have the capability to shape and deliver large, complex projects that meet and exceed business expectations
  • You possess proven stakeholder management skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • You have in-depth, end-to-end knowledge of Apparel Industry business processes, with exposure to buying, supply chain, finance, wholesale, and omni-channel retailing
