Team Lead, Sales Broker Success

The Opportunity
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, results-driven Team Lead, Sales Broker Success to join our growing team. You will oversee our Onboarding Team, which consists of newly graduated Sales Brokers through their first 4-8 weeks following Training. You thrive on seeing your teams’ successful results and your goal is to motivate and encourage your team through effective coaching and mentoring to meet and exceed company goals and expectations. You will work closely with the Senior Manager and provide assistance, which may include mentoring, recruitment and keeping management updated on team performance.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Manager and other leads to ensure success of graduating training classes for the remainder of their Probationary Period
- Coaching, training and feedback of sales brokers on an ongoing basis
- Work closely with Mentor pool to create/deploy curriculum of operational checklists and support the team to meet KPIs
- Work closely with T&D during practical phase (call handling), and to provide regular feedback on improvement strategies
- Facilitate daily and weekly debrief and training sessions on Workload Management, Sales Effectiveness, Industry Reports, and QA/BAL overviews
- Participate in the recruitment process to identify top talent
- Provide guidance and feedback to team to enhance product/service skills and knowledge
- Respond verbally and in writing to escalated calls, ensuring mutually agreeable outcome to both the client, insurer and brokerage whenever possible
- Action QA results and provide feedback to team members regarding quality, ratings and comments received on an ongoing basis
- Work with QA and Management to ensure file documentation and underwriting are performed up to brokerage standards
- Work with leadership to develop and implement processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency
- Actively manage the phone queues to ensure team members are SLA compliant and answers inbound sales calls, quotes and converts when SLAs are at risk of not being met
- Lead referral, x-date, cross sell and upsell campaigns as designed by leadership team
- Conduct regular feedback sessions and team meetings
- Operational responsibilities as needed including liaising with 3rd part technology vendors and cross-functional teams within our organization
- Work with Senior Manager and HR on performance management issues
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years in a Sales Management environment
- RIBO licensed
- Proven experience increasing sales targets/metrics
- Strong commitment to teamwork
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proven sales ability
- A results-oriented professional with a strong work ethic
- An unwavering commitment to delivering professionalism and expertise to our clients
- Must be organized, able to multi-task and have excellent communication skills
- Computer proficiency in MS Office products such as Word and Excel
