Who you are

The successful candidate will have worked in learning and organizational development for a minimum of 5 years. Experience with curriculum development, course facilitation, business strategy development, and adult education best practices is required. Strong Microsoft Office skills including using Teams for course facilitation purposes., exceptional English skills that demonstrate your strong business acumen and experience with the LEADS program and delivering leadership development programs is essential be successful in the position.

The successful candidate will possess the following behavioral competencies: is a change champion, seeks and explores innovative ideas, conducts work from a customer focused viewpoint, commits to performance excellence, inspires and motivates others.

Successful completion of a bachelor's degree in business or a related health discipline and a Certificate in Adult Education equivalent is required.

5 Years of experience in training, learning, and leadership development and 5 years of management experience is required.

Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.

What you will do

Reporting to the Regional Director of Learning and Development, the Regional Manager of Leadership Development will develop, monitor, and implement the organization's leadership development strategy in alignment to Horizon's Strategic Plan. The Leadership Development Strategy includes training and development opportunities for aspiring novice, and experienced leaders in both clinical and non-clinical settings. The Regional Manager of Leadership Development will develop approaches to engage individuals in well-defined and ongoing career development. Additionally, they will foster a culture of leadership learning, informal knowledge sharing, mentoring, coaching and training to engage and develop the workforce.

Key responsibilities of this position are:

  • Lead and direct the creation of a leadership development strategy and programs that align with organizational strategic goals.
  • Utilize expert facilitation skills in conducting leadership and professional development programs for mid- to senior levels across the organization.
  • Develop management capabilities through dynamic and engaging leadership programs.
  • Monitor the quality of leadership development programming by collecting, analyzing, and responding to data to ensure expectations of the program are being met.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter / content experts, business partners and vendors to create and design new content, tools and learning solutions to meet Horizon's leadership capabilities needs.
  • Manage the budgeting for resources to meet the needs for identified leadership training and development activities.
  • Provide input and support to the Regional Director of Learning and Development regarding the prioritization of professional development needs, evaluation of professional development for leaders.
  • Lead, coach, mentor and provide expertise and advice to Horizon leaders and direct reports across a wide geographical area to foster, maintain and improve customer services and promote organizational effectiveness.
  • Research new and innovative ways to market and promote leadership development offerings to be an employer of a choice.
  • Lead, develop and direct the Leadership development team.

This position may require some travelling within the province, therefore candidates must possess a valid New Brunswick drivers license.
