Position Overview

The Business Development Associate will report directly to the Business Development Manager. This role requires an independent, confident, and effective professional who excels in networking, relationship-building, and establishing robust industry connections. Strong communication skills, technical expertise, and sales acumen are critical for success in this position. The Business Development Associate will have the flexibility to operate from the corporate office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture a solid customer base to achieve the company's sales objectives.
  • Conduct regular travel within the designated territory to engage existing and prospective clients for project bids or negotiations.
  • Support the estimating team in preparing accurate quotations and budgets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, particularly in the area of erection services.
  • Provide insightful market forecasts, sales analytics, and relevant industry intelligence.
  • Utilize CRM software (MS Dynamics) to monitor potential projects and organize customer service strategies.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and respect in all interactions.

Technical Qualifications

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Technology is preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction documents and drawings is considered a valuable asset.

Business Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment while independently cultivating a new customer base.
  • Previous sales experience is regarded as a significant advantage.
